It helped me to see that I am indeed a BIG chunk writer, marketer, etc. I am a small chunk when it comes to many other things, but writing is different. I tend to do better when I am fully immersed.

I’m the same way with my editing and formatting clients. I prefer to immerse in a project to exclusion of all else. Well, all else except for eating. 🙂

I often have to work on writing for work, marketin materials for courses or events, writing all sorts of guidance papers or website copy. I just feel all the creativity has been leeched out of me by the end of the day. I try to work at the weekend or on occasional days off. And I’ve done the occasional writing holiday (at home, while children were at their grandparents) for a week, with 10 hour writing days. It was BLISS!
